Caroline Bunga Idembe
Caroline Bunga Idembe is a lawyer by profession and a human rights activist with 27 years of experience and a wide range of experience in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, women rights, governance, social protection, networking, and partnership development, disability programming, training, gender, legal, human rights, economic empowerment, project planning, and management. She managed programs and projects that prevent and mitigate sexual gender-based violence in local communities and at the international level. She has been a devoted participant at the Commission of Status of Women (CSW) to increase the voice in eliminating discriminations against women and girls in all spheres; increasing empowerment of women and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development; human rights, as well as humanitarian action, peace, and security. Caroline has mentored many young people especially organizations for women like ACFODE, UWONET, FIDA, and IRCU.
