BUILDING THE
WOMENNOW! INSTITUTE
The WomenNOW! Institute is built with five components designed to magnify the life stories, common challenges, and effective solutions that can be implemented for women and girls anywhere in the world.
THE FIVE COMPONENTS ARE:
1
THE WOMENNOW! CONTINUUM
Bi-Annual series of virtual regional discussion-based strategy sessions during which thought leaders, advocates, activists, practitioners, scholars, and artists from nine regions in the world share information, narratives, visions, and data to form common-ground strategies and solutions.
2
A Biennial meeting of Black/African women and girls from the nine regions during which the information and innovation emerging from the Continuum, the Network, and the SisterShip projects are presented, debated, collected and disseminated as our global solidarity agenda and action plan.
3
THE WOMENNOW!
P.O.W.A.R. NETWORK
A formal body of locally, regionally, and globally engaged WomenNOW! participants and member organizations that acts as a research container for the conversations, strategies, plans, and implementation of the global solidarity agenda created by the Continuum and Summit.
4
An annual fellowship opportunity for intergenerational pairs of Black/African women and girls to work together in their own communities on priority issues that they find most relevant in the overall WomenNOW! Solidarity Agenda and Action Plan. Each pair will showcase their work at the biennial Summit
5
WOMENNOW! PRODUCTIONS
The storytelling container for all of our collective works, solidarity sessions, and movement-building actions, consisting of articles, books, multi-media storytelling, and social media outreach that celebrates our connected cultures and lived experiences
